Speaking of "fei", you might think of the little bird-like character 飞 (fēi) which means "to fly" - we'll get to that later. 人非木石, rén fēi mù shí - a person is not a tree or a stone, which means everybody has their thoughts and feelings, and I find the 非 character and it's variations quite interesting, so here are some. I'll spare you the 蜚 (fēi) cockroach, though ;-)
